Season’s Greetings from RaMa!

December 23, 2012 in Uncategorized

This isn’t related to The Longest Journey, but I just wanted to give my holiday wishes to everyone.

It’s that time of the year again. Cold weather is creeping in and people are finding the warmest, most comfortable places to take shelter in. Whether it’s at home with family or somewhere among friends; there’s still warmth to be found and treasured.

This is also a time when people look back on the year that’s passed – the memories they made, the things they learned, the people they got to know – and they look forward to what the next year will hold for them.

With all that in mind I made a short, musical film for you all. A music video of sorts, for which I traveled through both The Hague’s and Amsterdam’s harsh weathers to get the footage I needed to go with my composition.

Here’s the video (I recommend to watch it in full screen and HD)

If you’d like to download an mp3 version of the music, you can do so by going to the following SoundCloud page:

I hope some of you will recognize what inspired the style of the video. If not, feel free to ask me about it.
Either way, I hope you enjoy listening and watching!

Let It Snow In Marcuria

December 19, 2012 in Dreamfall, Dreamfall Chapters, Media, Screenshots, The Games, The Longest Journey

Ragnar Tornquist posted a picture of a very early Dreamfall Chapters version of what looks like Marcuria. It looks like winter is still present in the jewel of the Northlands. Let it snow!

Dreamfall Chapters is alive

And then there’s also this:

Dreamfall Chapters

There isn’t all that much to see, but it’s still nice to see that the team is hard at work in their new environment.
Go team! You can do it!

The Longest Journey and Dreamfall playthroughs

In other news, GameSpot US staff members Kevin VanOrd and Tom McShea recently did a live stream on Twitch of themselves playing The Longest Journey. Later, when they started playing Dreamfall, Tom McShea was replaced by Carolyn Petit. Each of the sessions took about 2 hours.
You can watch it right here if you have the time.

Kevin mentioned that The Longest Journey is his favorite game ever created. Tom was still new to it. Maybe that was partly the cause of the (in my opinion) awkward silences and unrelated viewer questions/comments.

After about 30 minutes though, they both warmed up to playing the game together and talking about it. There was even someone commenting who claimed to be Ragnar Tornquist himself. I won’t say if that’s true or not, but I think this tweet says it all.

Interview with Ragnar Tornquist at

December 16, 2012 in Articles, Interviews

Ragnar Tornquist has supplied us with yet another great interview. This time you can read it at

A few interesting quotes…

“In general, I wasn’t happy with the controls in Dreamfall. It felt clunky, particularly on the PC. That’s something we’re fixing. With Chapters, we’re doing something a lot more intuitive. The current prototype already feels a lot better. The first time I sat down to play it, I knew we were on the right path.”

“Our characters will grow and change through the game, and so will the player’s experience, as seen through the eyes of those characters. This will also, of course, affect the game mechanics. Each book will play and feel a bit different. Everyone grows, everyone changes.”

“It’s like starting your own band, writing your own songs. It’s punk. It’s rock & roll. It’s definitely something, something real.”
