The winners of the recent fan art competition have finally been announced! Congratulations to them all!

The nominees for Red Thread Games‘ official fan art competition are now online! Because many of the submissions were just too good to choose from, Red Thread decided to put them in four categories and put it up to a vote.
So go over to the website and vote for your favorite pieces in each category! Here are some of my favorites:
A lot of people have been saying that the Zoë model in the previous video’s and screenshots looks too different from how they remember the leading lady from Dreamfall. The team at Red Thread Games, especially art director Christer Sveen, hasn’t been ignoring these comments.
A video was just posted in which Christer shows the process of making Chapters Zoë look more like her original self. We’re still being told to keep in mind they’ll be tweaking the models more during the development of the game, but I have to say these changes already help quite a lot. Go and have a look for yourself!
In their most recent Kickstarter update, Red Thread also talked a little bit more about the recently announced second playable character Kian.
Kian’s role in Dreamfall Chapters will be significantly larger than it was in the previous game, and his part in the saga will soon become clear.

What do you guys reckon? Are we going to see (some) actor(s)? We’ll just have to wait and see for this mystery to unfold…
A very big congratulations to the people at Red Thread Games for achieving the ONE MILLION DOLLAR mark on Kickstarter! Look at those happy people! The Longer Journey stretch goal has been achieved! To remind you what exactly that means:
At one million dollars, we expand the journey. We will add new characters, including Abnaxus of the Venar, and new locations, both in Stark and Arcadia. We add more exploration, more depth, more lore. More to see and more to do. Think of this as the extended edition of Dreamfall Chapters. We don’t alter the story or flow, but we open things up and allow players to delve deeper into the game world.

Don’t forget to tune into the live playthrough of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey in a few hours! The times are as followed: 1800 CET / 1700 GMT / 12PM EST / 9AM PST / 4AM EDT (Sydney) / 0100 CST (Beijing) / 2100 MSK (Moscow).
Hope to see you there!
In today’s Mini-update, Red Thread Games announced a new pledging tier for the Kickstarter campaign. The tier is set at $200 and will give you all the digital downloadable goodies from the $150 Digital Dreamer Edition on one very cute Wonkers USB stick! For more details, read the update here.
The live broadcast begins this Friday at 1800 CET / 1700 GMT / 12PM EST / 9AM PST and will continue until either a) we’ve completed Dreamfall, or b) everyone’s asleep or passed out from exhaustion. The devs are prepared to go the distance, so make sure you have enough coffee, cola, snacks and comfy chairs!

The whole thing will be recorded, so you can watch what you missed when ever you want. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the developers during the live broadcast though, so be sure to join in on the fun!
That’s it! There’s no turning back now. Dreamfall Chapters will now definitely be made. Just a few minutes ago the Kickstarter reached its initial goal of $850,00 with still 21 days to go. Red Thread Games posted a thank you video, featuring Dag Scheve, Ragnar Tørnquist and Martin Bruusgard, which you can view here.
Congratulations to all the fans, and most of all the wonderful people at Red Thread Games! And here’s to a wonderful continuation of the Kickstarter (see the image below). Let’s make a sprint to that first million, everyone!
Well, the Long Journey towards the release of Dreamfall Chapters has finally truly started. The Kickstarter is now online and everyone can start donating/pledging right now! The end goal is $850,000, more than a tenth of which has already been pledged during the past 3 to 4 hours ($137,976 and counting at the moment I’m writing this).
Watch the video to see some of the first impressions of the game, see some concept art, and hear those passionate Norwegians talk about their… well, uhm… passion for working on this game.
Ragnar Tørnquist posted new piece of self-made ‘concept art’ for Dreamfall Chapters on Facebook.
Of course Ragnar isn’t really a concept artist for the game, so this isn’t really official. But one could wonder why he would choose the island of Ge’en – of all places – to draw?
In any regard, it’s nice to see one of the many other qualities of The Longest Journey‘s creator. Speaking of other qualities, did you know that Ragnar apparently made (or worked on) the Red Thread Games website?
I’ll come clean & admit that the @redthreadgames website is delayed because I’m making it. And I suck. Also: TOO MUCH TO DO. But: TOMORROW!

No wonder there aren’t any open positions at Red Thread Games! They’ll start hiring again at some point though, so don’t be afraid to contact them if you’re interested in a job over there.
Be sure to check this post for a tasty ‘work-in-progress screenshot’, along with three statements about Dreamfall Chapters. Also, if you’re able to make it to Oslo on February 7th, be sure to take part in the Twitter competition to win an invitation to the Kickstarter party!
Keep your eyes peeled today, people! Yesterday, Read Thread Games tweeted that their website will go live this very day:
Our shiny new website goes live tomorrow, Thursday — and we have the very first work-in-progress art from #DreamfallChapters to go with it!
